Executive Committee Nominations

Each year the Nominating Committee of the CMS solicits potential candidates for the position of Vice-Chair and two positions on the Executive Committee. The election will take place prior to the Wednesday evening banquet during the week of this years conference.

The term of these positions will begin immediately following the conference, with an introductory meeting held Friday evening of the conference.

Executive Committee Member Requirements

  • A CMS member who has attended at least two Coordinate Measurement System Conferences in the last four years is a potential candidate for the Executive Committee.
  • CMS member participating in a CMS Standing or Special Committee with voting privileges for 2 years in the past 4 years.
  • Combinations of attendance and Standing Committee participation is acceptable.

Vice-Chair Requirements

  • A CMS member who has attended at least two Coordinate Metrology Society Conferences in the last four years and has had at least one previous term on the Executive Committee is a potential candidate for the Vice-Chair position.

These positions allow you to influence and promote the values of good measurement practice, support metrology education and certification, provide and support professional development and have the opportunity to work with international equipment manufacturers.
