Abstract
All airplanes must be pressurized when altitudes exceed 12,500 ft (3,800 m). The typical cruise altitude of commercial airliners is between 29,000 ft and 40,000 ft (from 8,800 m to 12,200 m). At this altitude, interior cabins are pressurized for safety and passenger comfort.
