Certification Committee
Back in 2009 the mission of this committee was to verify an industry need for a professional certification in 3D metrology to identify existing certification programs that fill this need to define the requirements for achieving certification and to determine CMS' role as issuing authority or support organization to certifying body. In 2018 this subcommittee has not only archived the mission, but is taking it further with Level 1 cognitie assessment certification and Level 2 certifications in Articulated Arms and Laser Trackers. The near future will bring forth certification for both 3D Scanners and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM's).
Volunteers who would like to get involved in this standing committee or partake in the certifications are encouraged to review the following link.
