Chris Greer

Dr. Chris Greer is an Associate Tech Fellow and part of the BR&T Measurement Technology group in Charleston, SC. Chris was named the 2018 Corporate Engineer of the Year for Boeing. He has been with Boeing for 10 years and worked in the field of 3D Metrology for over 17 years. Before coming to Boeing, Chris worked on a variety of projects and has been directly involved and/or lead several large complex measurement projects in several different areas: nuclear, solar power, aerospace, and wind power. Chris created several unique measurement applications that used multiple instruments to capture complex geometry and developed an automated analysis system to handle the various datasets. Chris's main focus over the last few years has been in the area of advanced measurement techniques, automating measurement collection and analysis, and advancing the Gray Diamond Technology. Chris has worked on all derivatives of the 787, the 737 Max, F-18, and FSA. One of Chris’s current projects centers on improving the profiling of the AUSS system for BGS. The AUSS system is utilized across BCA, BDS, and BGS. Chris holds a BS in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics, a MS in Information Technology, and a Doctorate of Computer Science from Colorado Technical University. Chris represents Boeing on the Industrial Advisory Board for the Center of Precision Metrology at UNC Charlotte. Chris is a co-leader of the 3DM CoE and involved with developing the design practices strategy for Measurement Technology.
