Ron’s work at Newport News Shipbuilding focused on the justification and implementation of three-dimensional coordinate measurement systems into shipbuilding. His department of approximately 75 technicians, engineers and administrative personnel completed over 4,000 measurement projects per year.
Currently, Ron is Vice President and General Manager, North America Sales and Services for Automated Precision (API). Ron has profit and loss responsibility for all North American operations. Ron has approximately 45 personnel on his team, with 14 direct reports.
As a long-term member of the Coordinate Metrology Society, Ron has been instrumental in the coordination of the annual CMSC event. Other areas of focus for CMS have been:
- Hotel Interface and contract negotiation
- Coordinate Measurement Certification Program
- Building society membership and exhibitor coordination
- Served in all chairman capacities multiple times
- Presented original Board of Director’s plan to the Executive Committee in 2015
- PrecisionPath Consortium Chairman
